Workspace at the Stierling Campus

Google’s Environment, Health & Safety team has developed a mission of creating a healthy and productive workplace that positively impacts the health and well-being of Googlers, both today and in the future. The foundation of their mission is to use “healthy” and sustainable materials in the workplace environment.

Within the Stierling Campus, the Google design team wanted to create a free and open work space environment,  using a collection of colored cylindrical tubes that hung from the ceiling and acted to divide the spaces.

When considering the material options available to achieve this design, the design team selected ECOR as in this instance they found it to be superior to aluminum as a design material due to its light weight, and cost effectiveness for creating the circular shapes needed.

Workspace at the San Jose Campus

Google’s Environment, Health & Safety team has developed a mission of creating a healthy and productive workplace that positively impacts the health and well-being of Googlers, both today and in the future. The foundation of their mission is to use “healthy” and sustainable materials in the workplace environment.

Within the Campus in San Jose, the Google design team wanted to a define a work area with free standing materials going vertically at an angle,  then curving to continue horizontally above in parallel with the ceiling.

The Google interior design team found ECOR’s design versatility to uniquely achieve the shape and curves of the fixtures they had designed, with a unique appearance provided by a sustainable bamboo veneer applied to the ECOR.
