For over a decade, Starbucks has been a active leader showcasing green building principles for new construction and commercial interior strategies at retail locations.
Each Starbucks store is designed to reflect the unique character of the neighborhoods they serve, while also integrating sustainable building practices that aim to provoke thoughtful questions and engagement with the built environment. In addition to reducing energy use and water consumption, they also strive to incorporate reused and recycled materials wherever possible in the design.
It was important to Starbucks design manager, Justine McHart, to create a spectacular Starbucks café experience while being sustainably designed and locally relevant. When creating their latest store in Las Vegas at the New York New York Hotel and Casino, she selected to feature ECOR Black Steel Alchemy decorative panels as wainscoting compliment throughout the store to uniquely bridge together the culture and designs of Las Vegas and New York City.
