ECOR Global accepted an award for the “Most Substantial Impact in Sustainability” Anchin, Block and Anchin presented the 2022 Construction, Design and Real Estate awards at the Yale Club in New York in cooperation with the New York Building Congress (NYBC), the American Council of Engineering companies of New York (ACEC New York), Subcontractors Trade Association (STA) and The Commercial Observer. This year’s event featured keynote speaker, Eric Macfarlane, First Deputy Commissioner at NYC Department of Design and Construction, and was attended by over 200 industry leaders celebrating ECOR Global and other award winners.
Anchin is a full-service accounting and advisory firm providing a complete range of top-tier advisory, tax and financial reporting services. Founded nearly 100 years ago, Anchin has 400 employees with highly specialized industry and service area expertise, and now developing a focus on sustainability and the clean economy.
ECOR Global was recognized as one of the few commercially scalable sustainable solutions for construction and the building trades. The attendees at the awards ceremony were interested in hearing what’s driving the market to products like ECOR. Tim Armacost (ECOR shareholder and distinguished jazz saxophonist), accepted the award on behalf of the Company and shared that the market has discovered ECOR’s value, driven by massive supply chain disruptions, consumer demand and government regulations for more clean sustainable products, and the fact ECOR utilizes fibers that would otherwise be landfilled or incinerated.
Tim, a connoisseur of scotch, brought a bottle of Laphraoig 10 to illustrate ECOR’s ability to one day improve his favorite drink by using the scotch makers waste in its packaging. Tim (and other shareholders) have offered their services for all future development efforts with spirit companies anywhere in the world.
Tim received positive feedback after his acceptance speech from several architects and sustainability experts who wanted more information about ECOR. We look forward to following up and leveraging the momentum created from this sustainability award.
