Formula E Racing is back!

Heineken, ECOR and Formula E racing is back this summer with further commitments to Sustainability.

Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E racing season just wrapped up the New York City E-Prix putting 30 year-old Stoffel Vandoorne (racing for Mercedes) in squarely in the points lead headed into the SABIC London E-Prix this weekend. The season finale will happen in Seoul on August 13-14. Depending upon what happens in London, the championship could be up for grabs until the final race in Seoul.

Once again, Formula E’s sustainability initiatives focus on events. Global beer brand, and Formula E sponsor, Heineken is back with the Greener Bar, and ECOR is right there with them. The Greener Bar showcases Heineken’s commitment to sustainability by upcycling, recycling and reusing materials to reduce waste, water emissions and energy usage. Last season, ECOR Global provided beer coasters for the Greener Bar made from spent brewers grain (“SBG”). This year we have expanded that partnership to include signage, trays, more coasters and even bottle openers.

Below are some photos of these innovative Heineken branded products made from ECOR material at this year’s Formula E race in Rome.

We look forward to expanding ECOR’s presence at upcoming Formula E racing events and at other sponsored events as Heineken rolls out The Greener Bar all over the globe.
